HomeMy Public PortalAbout05-15-1942 314 OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS CITY OF RICHMOND,INDIANA, FRIDAY, MAY 15th, 1942. • The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, _Indiana, met in the office of said Board, Friday,May 15th, 1942, at 9:00 A. M. Winfield: Urban and S. W. Hodgin being present the following proceedings were had to-wit; The minutes of the preceding- meeting were read and approved. Ilr On the recommendation of Police Chief Ellis Duckett, the Board _ approved one week vacation withfpay for George Berry whose resignation . was accepted effective May gth, 1942, as Police Radio Operator. • The Board approved the appointment -of Milo Brann as Police Radio Operator, temporarly, at a salary of $135.00 per month, effective .. May 16th, 1942. . OnAhe recommendation of Police Chief Ellis Duckett , the Board approved the permanent appointment of Dalton Stevenson as Policeman Effective may 1st, 1942, at the regular salary of $150.00 per month. The Board approved the permanent appointment of Richer-.d=:Maddox as Police radio -Operator at the regular salary. .. >. The Clerk was instructed.to notify the Superintendent of the • Light Plant to obtain--permits in the act of tearing up streets to repair lines running along or across said streets, so that the Street Department might be in touch with such utilities as may be making the repairs.. _ Friday f:iay 15th ,1942, at 9:00 A. M. being the time designated by the Board for the fixing of benefits and damages in the vacation of an alley between 7th & gth Street running South from main Street 165 feet more or less in accordance with Declaratory Resolution No.2-1942. . and there being no benefits or damages fixed by the Board for such - vacation Of alley except. legal publication pertaining thereto which was paid for by said petitioners, and the Board now confirms :the adoption of such benefits and damages in accordance witb.Declaratory Resolution No. 2-1942.
