CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
FRIDAY,- Fv'RRUARY 27TH, 1942
The Board of Ppblic Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, met in the office of said Board, Friday, February 27th,
1942, at 9:00 A. M. Winfield urban, S. W. Hodgin and Earl Heisker
being present the following proceedings were had to-wit;
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved.
The Board authorized Fire Chief Harry Williams to purchase the
necessary material for the installationcdf a system to be attached
to the present Gamewell Fire Alarm System already installed, giving
the Central Fire Alarm Stsati.on,contact with all the other departments
at the same time, also:the Police -Radio Station'.and the home of Fire.
Chief Williams, -the estimate cost being around $200.00 for material
the same to be installed by Radio Operators & Firemen.
Mr. Herman Markle Assistant to Street Commissioner presented
plans showing the re-routing of the trash collection trucks, stating
two more trucks were to be added to the collection of trash and it
would be possible for a complete collection every 10 days.
A Deed of Dedication to the City of Richmond, Indiana, was
presented to the Board from Willard Z. Carr and Susan B. Carr his
wife snd others which had been Weviously approved and accepted by
the Board, the same to be r.ecored and -filed .in•the..office of the City
Clerk.
After allowing claims in the amount of $ 644.50 on proper motion
' they adjourned. -
