The Board of Publie Works and Safety of the- City of Richmond
Ihdia.na, met in the office of said Board. Friday; ,January 9, 1942,
at 9:00 A. M. Winfield Urban, :S:: ..W. HOdgin and Earl Keisker being
present the following proceedings were had to-wit;
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved.
On the recommendation of Fire Chief Harry Williams the Board
authorized the appointment of Ernest D. Federico as a regular
fireman at the regular sum of $150.00 per month9 he having served
the usual probationary period of 6months, the same effective
January 16th, 1942.

The following report was presented by Street 'ommissioner
Earl Meyers; for the year 19419 in comparison with 1940.

The Board unanimously accepted the report of the Street Comm.
Mr. Earl Keisker moved that the following resolution be adopted;
That; because of the increase in the general cost of living
and the general increase of •all wages that as of January 1st, 1942
•
the wages of all hourly employees in the -Street 4c Park Departments
of the City of Richmond be increased ten cents on the hour.
Departmental::Heads,.excepted. Further that tho wages of all employees
excepting the Department Head , -in the Sewage Disposal Plant be
increased_ $10.00per month.
The motion was second by Hodgin and unanimously approved.
The Board unanimously adopted the following 1-avadrevy
Resolution; No. 1-1942.
WHEREAS, THE FOLLOWING LISTED DEDICATIO?S, -of right of way
for the extension of Southeast Parkway from Henly Road to Reevston
Road and Main Street appear to be in proper form, fully executed and

duly recorded,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Public Works and
Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that the following listed
•
dedications of right of way- for street purposes are hereby accepted.
