HomeMy Public PortalAbout12-12-1941 2/l OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, FRIDAY, DECEMBER 12th, 1941. The Board of Public Works and safety of the City of Richmond., Indiana, met in the office of said Board, Friday, December 12th, 1941, at 9:00 o'clock A. M. S. W. Hodgin, Winfield Urban and Earl Keisker being present the following proceedings were had to-wit; The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved. A request to cut the curb to a width of 15 feet was granted to William J. Werner Lot 186 Reevston Addition. A request to drill a hole in .the sidewalk in front of the State Theater for the purpose 8f displaying a flag was granted to the Hudson Theatres Co. subject to the approval of the Street Commiss- ioner. On the recommendation of Police Chief Duckett, Harold Snyder located at 108 Northwest J Street was appointed to serve as a member of the Police Department for the usual 6 month probationary period at asalary of $430.00 per month, effective January 1st, 1941. The matter of repairs at the Police Rdd.io Station was referred to the Building inspector. - Police Chief Duckett reported a test mile for Police and other cars had been surveyed and marked by City Engineer Hodgin and Richard Posther,located and beginning at the first road east of the Air Port on National Road,running east 1 mile, all surveyed and laid uut on the date of December 1, 19419 for the said purpose of testing speed-ometers and etc. After allowing claims in the amount of cj,7Q 3 ,/9 on proper motion they adjourned. esiaent Attest' 11/ Clerk of the Boar .
