OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS
CITY OF RICHMOND,INDIANA,
FRIDAY,• OCTOBER 31ST, 1941.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, met in the office of said Board, Friday,October 31st,
1941, at 9:00 o'clock A. M. Messrs. S. W. Hodgin, Winfield Urban
and Earl Keisker being presentthe following proceedings were had
to-wit;
The minutes of the preceeding meetings were raed and approved.
The Board approved a request by the American Legion to place
a booth in front of the Woolworth Store with the approval pf the
said store, for the purpose of selling tickets .to a benefit enter-
tainment at the High School Auditorium,.the booth to be located near
the norner of South 7th and Main Streets, and operated two Saturday
afternoons and evenings of November 1st and gth, 1941.
The Board instructed the Building inspector to have the awn-
ings at the City Building replaced and repaired.
The Fire Chief was authorized by the Board to purchase the
necessary amount of cable for the use of the Fire Department
The Board ordered a'.Stop sign placed on Whitewater Boulevard
at the intersection with Bridge Avenue, the same to be removed from
Bridge Avenue.
After allowing claims in the amount of $4563.04 on proper
motion they adjourned.
