CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
MONDAY, .00TOBER 27th, 1941
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, met in the office of the said Board in a ( Special)
Session Monday, October 27th, 1941, at 2:00 a'clock P. M. Messrs.
S W. Hodgin, Winfield Urban and Earl Keisker being present the
following proceedings were had to-wit;
The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was dispen
sed with.
Mr. Hodgin stated the purpose of the special meeting was to
act on the recommendation of the committee appointed to tabulate
the bids, the report of the committee being as follows;
We recommend that One Chrysler Royal Black TwoDoor Coach equipp-
ed as specified with the extra fluid drive & Vacamatic Transmission
for the sum of $1493.00 with a trade in allowance of 194o Chrisler
for tl,.e sum of $793.00 making a net difference of $700.00. , the same
to be purchased from the Brown Motor Company.
Also One Ford Tudor Deluxe S cylinder as specified in Alternate
bid equipped with Radio Transmitter for the sum of $ 1319.47 with
a trade in allowance on Ford Tudor for the sum of $564.50 making
a total net difference of $S14.97, this car to purchased from the
Wailer Motors Corp. ,both cars for theuse of the Police Department.
Two (2) 1942 Dodge l- Ton Trucks with Anthony Sft Dump Bodys
all as specified per their bid for the total sum for both trucks
and bodies of $2497.40 delivered for the use of the Street Department
and One (1) 1941 Dodge Ton Express as specified in Alternate bid
for the sum of $625.00 with a heater included for the sum-,of t 25.00
extra,making a,total'sum of $650.00 delivered, thethree trucks to be
purchases from the E. H. Gilcrest Company, the Ron Express for the
use of the Disposal Plant.
For the use of the Park Department,one Ford VS 12Ton Truck
as specified Der thir bid for the sum of $943.00 with a trade in
allowance for one old Ford Truck forcthe sum of $Ss.00 making tr net
difference of $555.00 delivered , this truck to be purchased from
the Wallar Motors Corp.
Also one (1) Silver King Tr.actor:Mower Unit as specified per
bid for the sum of $1035.00 with atradein allowance for old Wor-
thingtom Tractor Mower of $200.00 making a net difference of $S35.00
One (1) set of 50" units made by the F & N Lawn Mower Co. as speci-
fied for the sum of $490.00 with a trade in allowance of $125.00
for old mower equipment making a net total difference of $1200.00
thie equpment to be purchased from William T. Bond Fountain City
Indiana, for the use of the Park Department.
Three (3) 1942 Hudson Six Traveler Coupes, Model 20T. one each
for the use of the Street Department, Building Inspector and Weight
and Measures Department one to be equpped with hot water heater all
three for the sum of $2500.00 with.atrade in allowance for one 1925
Ford Coupe and One 1930 Ford Coupe for the sum of $100.00 making a
net difference of $2400.00 these three cars to be purchased from
the Murray Motors Co. (cOnt'd)

One 19L2'GA. Servicar Harley Davidson as specified._per
bid for the sum of $4+25.00 delivered and the old 1935 "oriel
Harley Davidson motor cycle use by the Police department,
to be purchased from Earl T. Wright, Richmond, Ind.
All the equippment be lettered and painted to meet the
approval of the various departments.

Mr. .Keisker moved that the Board accept the recommendations
of the committee appointed to tabulate the bids and all the bid-
ders which have received the awards be notified as soon as poss-
ible* with a second by Mr. Urban the motion was unanimously app-
roved.
