Safety of the City or Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of said. Board , Friday, September 19th, 1941 at 9:00 A. M. Messrs. S. W. Hodgin', Winfield Urban and Earl Keisker being present the following proceedings were had. to-wit; The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved. Mr. Leroy Pitts was present in regard to tapping into the Sewer on Southwest 15th Street, the Board recommending the City be absolved of any expense in the matter of tapping into the Sewer or damages to the Street. A request to cut a,..tree in front of Thomas Whealan property 336 South 7th Street was referred to the Park & Street Department. A request for a light to be located between Bridge Avenue and Butler Street was referred to City Engineer Hodgin® • The matter of relocating a street light at Northwest 3rd and Lincoln Street was referred. to City Engineer Hodgin A letter was presented to the Board from Mr. Stevens Supt . of the Light Plant in regard to installing the lights in Peacock Terrace. A complaint in regard to the sewer located in the 200 block North_ 6th Street was referred to the Street Department. The removal of the light fixtures-at . the Soft Ball Diamond for the Winter was referred to the Park Supt. A request to have the street widened. on Henley Road. at the intersection with East Main Street was referred to the City Engineer. Mr. Eadler Building Inspector reported the furnace at the Police Radio Station was in bad condition and the repairs would be very expensive, therfo •c, he would recommend a new furnace be installed. The Board ?proved. the recommendation of Mr. Eadler and ordered the proper publication for bids the same to be for con- sideration at the office of the Board Friday, Oct. '.3-41, 9: 30 A. M. The Board. instructed. Street Commissioner Meyers to purchase rat poison and Place it at the City Dumps. (Cont ' d) 253 A request. to cut the Curb was granted to John Grice located. at 418 South 20th Street to a width of 16 feet. A request to cut the Curb to a width of .14 feet was Granted to Oliver NI. Hawkins© The matter of bycycles parked in front of the various theatres on the sidewalk in sufficient numbers such as to create a haard was reported. to the Board and referred to the Traffic Division Fire Chief Harry Williams was instructed to attend the ' State Fire Chief ' s Vonvention at South Bend September 24th to 27th 1941. • After allowing claims in the ' amount of $9, 32.31 on proper motion they adjourned. 3 Presid , t ,Attest Clerk of t e oard
