The board of Public Works and Safety of the dity of Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of said Board - Friday, August 1st, 1941, at 9:00 oQ'clock A. M. Messrs. S. W. Hodgin, Winfield Urban and.Earl Keisker being . present the following proceedings were had to-wit; The minutes of the of the preceeding meeting were read and approved© The matter of erecting a- fence around the property where the Street Department Garage iR located was dis- cussed and was'. takenunder advisement. The Board ordered the installation of a Stop Sign regulating eastbound traffic on South B Street at 16th Street, On the recommendation of the Traffic Division the Board ordered the installation of a light at the first alley North of North E Street on North 20th Street. A request to cut a ree located alt 337. south 7th Street was referred to Park Superintendent Frisby. 0n the recommendation of the Traffic Division the Board approved that there be no parking on North 5th Street to the first alley99orth of the intersection of Fort Wayne Avenue and North .5th. Street. Attention was called in regard to the shrubbery located at Southwest 2nd and Main Streets which ob- structed the view of traffic, the same being refer'°ed to the Street Department, they to confer with the pro- perty owner, On the recommendation of the Traffic Division the Board ordered the installation of Overhead Traffic Controll Lights at the intersection of North 19th & E and North 9th & D streets -also regular Standard Traffic controll lights at the intersections 'of South 13th & E - .South 12th & A and North 12th and A Streets, Friday August lst, 194+1 being the date designated by the Board for the receiving of bids on the sale of Scrap Rails & Scrap Iron , the bids received are as follows; SAM JAFFE CO.
