The Board of Public Works and' Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of said Board Friday, July 18th, 1941, at 9 :00 A. M. Messrs. S. W. Hodgin , Winfield Urban and Earl Keisker being present the follow- ing proceedings were had to-wit ; The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved. Hr. Frank McCurdy was present regarding traffic on Forth A Street and 8th & Main Streets along with other locations, the same being referred to the Traffic Division. The Board ordered that the repairs be made on the water fountain at 9th and Main Street by. the Park Department. The Board ordered the zoning signs dn:: FTorth 7th Street in front of the place previously occupied by the Taxi Cab Company removed, by the Street Department. The Board ordered the,Traff ic:.Light installed. at : 12th :& North E. St. which had been removed at 16th & .Main Ste.. and to proceed. with Mr. Beck s Plan for Traffic Controll during Fire Runs. The matter of disposing of some Sewer tile at the Street Department Garage was referred to the City Engineer. A barricade was ordered constructed at 17th and North J streets. The matter of the Street Department disposing or gar- bage at the Commissary was referred to the City Attorney, also the disposing of old building materil. The Board approved the installation of a Bill Board by the Parker Advertising Corp. on City property near the West End of the Doran Bridge and South of Richmond Avenue the contract to be prepared and submitted to the City Attorney for approval. The Board rescinded the order which had been made for the installation of a Fire Hydrant near the Street Depart- ment Garage on South Sixth St . A Fire Hydrant was ordered installed at 19th and Worth I Streets subject to the approval of _^ire Chief Harry Williams.. After allowing claims in the amount of $$.8,366.44 on proper motion they adjourned. Presiders Attest ; Q - Clerk oR the Board.
