OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
THURSDAY, JUNE 19th, 1941
The Board 'of Public Works and Safety of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in the offic€ of said Board
Thursday, June 19th, 1941 at 9 :00 o ' clock A. M. Messrs..
S. W. Hodgin,Earl Keisker and Winfield Urban being pres-
ent the following proceedings were had to-wit;
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and
approved. I/
The Board ordered the next meeting be held June 30th,
1941, instead of the regular date June_ 27th, 1941.
A request by the Richmond Retail Merchants Bureau to
place signes at the edge of the City calling attention to
the Peddlers Ordinance was approved providing they assume
the cost of the signs and installation, the matter was also
referred to the City Engineer.
Permission to install a 'Water line from South 6th Street
East ' : :: on South Q Street was granted to Ralph
Ledbetter located at 616 South Q. Street the same to be a i in.
Copper Line eight feet from the property line in the grass
spot.
A request for a Stop Sign at the intersection of Bridge
Avenue and Whitewater boulevard was referred to the Traffic
Division and approved.
A request for a Stop Reflector Sign at the intersection
of Northwest J Street and Bridge Avenue was referred to the
Traffic .Division and approved.
A letter was presented to the Board from Dr. J. C. Claw-
son located at 130 South 7th Street, requesting a Parking
Zone be established in front of his office , the same being
referred to the Traffic Division and approved.
Aletter was presented to the Board requestinga Parking
Zone be established in front of the office of the Public
Health Nursing Association, this being referred to the
Traffic Division appal zred•
The Board approved the purchase of Gasoline from the
Shell Oil Co. for i cent less than the Market Price for
the balance of the month of June and July providing theI/
price does not increase•
After allowing claims in the amount of $12,362.16
on proper motion they adjourned.
