The 18oard of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of said Board Friday, ' March 28th, 1941, at 9 :00 A. M. Messrs. S. W. Hoddin, Winfield Urban and Earl Keisker being present the following proceedings ewre had to-wit; The minutes' of the preceeding meeting were read and • approved. Mr. George Brehm was present in the interest of the renting of the Mnniciapal Base tall Park by ,local manag ment. The Board took the matter' under advisement and instructed the Clerk to .write to the various Managers . before coniming to any conclusion as to rental price and etc . The Board appointed R. A. Miller Veterinarian, a.s. bog Catcher .for-a period of three months beginning April First for the sum of 0_00 . 00 dollars per. month,gas and oil included, if a dog with a possible case of Rabbies ,.:. is to be held for and indefinited length' of time by order of. the Board of Health extra feed is to be provided for the said length of time designated,otherwise dogs shall be disposed of in the usual manner already provided in an ordinance regulating the same. Thela.rk Sueerintendent was ordered to place posts in various locations in Bealview Park for the purpose of keeping automobiles from driving across the same. Fire Chief Harry Williams called attention .to the Board,of the Indiana_ Gas Utilities Co. ceasing in most cases to install a cutof at the curb to their lines running into buildings, stating in some cases it had been impossible to reach the meteor,which might be destroyed leaving the gas to escape making a dangerous condition. The Board took the matter under advisment . The Board approved the adoption of the Assessment Roll No. 4-1941. fixing the benefits and damages according with Declaratory Resolution No. 4-1941, ih :the closing of the lst:.a11e r South of Peacock Road leading from Northwest 10th • Street to Northwest 11th Street in Peacock Terrace 2nd Add. , the same to be published in Pall-Item March 31st and April 7th, 1941, also designating the date of April llth, 1941 at its office at 9 :30 A. Kemper' s place of Business raised to a distance of 12 feet above the sidewalk or removed at the owners expense the same being located et 156 Fort Wayne Ave. After allowing claims in the amount of 8,005. 58 on proper motion they adjourned. - A.request to cut the curb was granted to I.
