OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS

FRIDAY,ivARCH , 14th, 1941.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of said Board Fri-
day, March 14th, 1941,. at 9 :00 it M. Messrs. S. W. Hodgin
Winfield Urban and. Earl Keisker being present the foil-
- owing proceedings were had to-wit ;
11/ The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and
approved. _
The Board approved the installation of a Street
light at Sointh 12th and J Streets.
Mr. Charles G. Hunt wan granted perrn_issinn to cut
the trees in front of his residence located at 208
South 7th Street.
The boy scouts were granted permission to use the
gymnasium at the old High School Building for a short
period.
A:letter was presented to the toard from the Sec-
urity Cartage Company located at 140 South 2nd Street
requesting a parking zone be established from the S
curve on SbuthtB Street to second Street for the pur-
pose of giving them sufficient room to enter their
loading and unloading docks with their Semi-trailers .
• The Board instructed the Clerk to write a letter ac-
knowledging the request for parking zone, also sugg-
esting that a petition be presented to the Board with
the names of the affected citizens thereon.
The Board approved that a parking zone be established
in from of Dr. Buche' s office located 106 South 7th St.
After Allowing claims in the amount of $3,598.. 67
on proper motion they adjourned.
