Special
The Board of Public "corks ,and Safety of the City
of Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of said Board
Monday February 17 , 1941, at 9 :00 A. I:. at a Special
Meeting. Messrs. Simeon N. Hodgin, '.fi of field Urban and
earl Keisker being. present the following Proceedings
were had to-wit ;
A Special neeting of the Board of Public Works and
Safety was called f"or the purpose of regulating traffic
during the strike at the International Harvester Plant
located at i-orth S Street between 13th and 15th Streets,
the same considered -.s an emergency, a Resolution was
presented as follows;
WHEREAS, A strike has been called at the '3ichmond
Pl-;nt of the Intr ena.tional Harvester Co . as of this
day; and
W1T _EAS; certain traffic regulations are necessary
to, neet the situation.
?OW 'HE?Er 07.E; Be it resolved by the Board of Public
Works and Safety of the City of Richmond Indiana, that
the. Chief of !Police of the said City be granted full
power and authority 'to promulgate and enforce any and
all parking and other traffic regulations necessary
during the energency.
Mr. . Urban moved that the Resolution be adopted as
read, the motion was second by k_eisk r . 6d approved
unanimous.
