The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City
of Ric _mond, Indiana, met in the office of said Board
Friday, January 24th, 1941, at 9 :00 A. M. Messrs . Simeon
W. Hodgin 14infield Urban and Earl Keisker being present
the following proceeding were had to-wit ;
The minutes of the proceeding meeting were read andIII
approved.
Dr. H. Der Iiinthrow, located at 1007 South A Street
requested a parking zone be establihed in front of his
office located at the same address , on the recommendation
of the Traffic Division the request was approved.
An, application, was presented by Clawerence W. Cohee
address 1210 South F Street for the position of Policeman
at Glenn Miller Park, giving his age� at 35 years and married)
with the dollowing names as reference, Leo Tracy, Elme- „eis-
brod, Clarence 1. Jessup Ernest Bonsall , Un. '2oraey Sr. and
Walter -�ickemeyer. The Board took the same under advisement .
The sale of junk by. the Park 'Jepartment was :approved;
the sum offered for the same to be reported to the Board.
"r. Norman Tohanning was present requesting the impro-
vement of South L Street between 12th and 13th Streets _
also the sidewalk on South L Street on the North side of
the Street between 5th and 7th Streets both projects were
taken under advisement.
A°_ request for the improvement of a portion of the first
alley North of : rain Street between 15th and 16th Streets
was also taken under advisement.
Fire Chief Larry Jilliaus was authorized to place the
necessary warning equipment on the new car purchased for _
the use of the Fire Department.
After Allow ng claims in the amount of o, 558.09
on proper motion they adjourned.
