OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS
• CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
FRIDAY,.. AUGUST. 16th,1940.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of said Board ,.
Friday August 16th, 1940, at 9 :00 o' clock A. N. Messrs.
John R. Britten, Simeon W. Hodgin and Henry U. Johnson
being present the following proceedings were had to-wit;
The minutes og the preceeding meeting were dispensed
with.
The matter of placing a Fire Alarm Box at the Sewer
Disposal Plant was discussed by the Board and referred
to Fire Chief karry Williams.
• A petition to cut the curb was granted to games F.
Harrington to a width of 10 feet, lot 36 J. Smith's Add.
located at 121 South 5th St.
The Board adopted 'and _approved the following Resolution;
Be it resolved by the Board of Public Works and Safety
of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that the Controller of
the said City be instructed to recognize August 31-1940
as the regular nay-day instead of September 1st. , 1940.

A letter was presented from the State 'highway Commission
of tndiana,asking for the interpertation of a section of
the Traffic Ordinance No. 1208 in regard to hour narking.
After allowing claims in the amount of $3,802.42
they adjourned,.
