The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in the. office of said Board Friday July 5th, 1940, at 9:00 A. M. Messrs. John R. Britten, Simeon W. Hodgin and 'Henry U. Johnson being present the following proceedings were had to-wit ; The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed with. ' Permission to cut the curb was granted to Elmer Eldridge located at 420 South 4th St' to a widt2 of 10ft. Permission to cut the curb was also granted to Pearl E. Gross located at 301 Northwest J. Street to a width of 9 ft. An' agreement -with the Pennsylvania Rail Road Officials was presented to the Board granting permission for a sewer to be installed through their property by the City from Glen° Miller Park north to a connecting sewer south of. Morton Lake, said agreement along with a drawing is filed in the office of the City Clerk. July 5th, 1940 being the, date designated by the Board for. the acceptance of Bids on Coal to be used by the various City: Buildings, the following bids were received; NEIWOEHNER-LONG CORP.
