OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
FRIDAY JUNE 2BTH, 1940.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City
of Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of said Board
Friday, June 28th, 1940, at 9 :00 A. M. Messrs. Simeon
W. Hodgin and Henry U. Johnson being present the foll-
owing proceedings were had to-wit ;
The Minutes of the preceeding meeting were read -,
and approved.
The Board instructed the Street Department to re-
pair the sidewalk and fill in with dirt necessary to
make the proper improvement at the Southwest corner
of the Municipal Baseball Pask.
A letter was presented to the Board from E. W. par-
rish Manager of the Wayne County Farm Bureau Associa-
tion requesting permission to tap into the Sewer at
Northwest N Street. The Board approved the request
providing the sum of $30.00 be payed to the City of
Richmond and they assume any other expense which
might incur in making the connection, the same to be
used for sanitary purposes only.
The Board ordered the Street Department to remove
the yellow paint from the curb on the Liberty Pike_
in front of Fulle -s Greenhouse.
Fire Chief Harry Williams called attention to the
Board the need for more Fire Hydrants in some of the
congested districts.
A request to cut the curb to a width of 10 feet
was granted to Kenneth Burnett 143 South East Haven
Avenue.
After allowing claims to the amount of 3866.62
they adjourned.
