OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS
CITY OF RICHMOND, INTDIANA,
FRIDAY, DUNE 7TH,1940.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City
of Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of said Board
Friday, June 7th, 1940 at 9 :00 o' clock A. M. Messrs.
John R. Britten, Simeon W. Hodgin and Henry U. _J'ohnson
being present the following proceedings were had.`to-wit ;% .
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were- read and
approved. '
Mr. Bradley and Mr. Schuerman were present in the
interest of street repairs in front of the National
Automatic Tool Co. on South L. Street.
The Board approved the Legion and the Sand Lot
teams using the Municipal Baseball Park if proper
schedules are made.
The Board discussed the advis.aability of using
the grounds belonging to the Reid Hospital on North
10th Street for dumping grounds.
June the 7th, 1940 being the date designated by
the Board for the receiving of bids- for eeuipment
to clean the- roots out of the sewers and there be-
in.g no bids presented, on proper motion the Board
ordered the equipment purchased from the Turbin
Sewer Machine Co. Milwaukee Wisconsin.
A petition to cut the curb to a width of 10feet
was granted to Paul Riley, lot 43 Earlham Place
Addition. -
After alowing claims to the amount of j 16, 633.67
they adjourned.
