OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS
CITY OF RICHMOND,INDIANA,
FRIDAY, .ISSAY 10TH, 1940.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City
of Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of said
Board Friday, May 10th, 1940, at 9 :00 o ' clock A.M.
Messrs. John R. Britten, Simeon W. Hodgin and Henry
U. Johnson being present the following proceedings

were had to-wit ;

meeting was dispensed with.
A claim was presented from John Leonard Hamilton
for Architectural Service on Auditorium-Gymnasium
Building for balance due to the amount of $5,886.87.
The said amount was disallowed by the Board,but
finds that the sum of $2,140.58 is due under the
terms.".of. the contract.
permission was granted to Paul Schwendermann to
cut the curb to a width of 8 feet located at 455
South 5th Street.
City Engineer Hodgin presented plans for a Sanitary
Sewer on North West J Street also plans for a San-
` itary Sewer at South 5th and I Streets , he being ins
tructed to contact the property owners effected by
the said proposal in regard to their portion of the
expense for installation.
The City Engineer and Street Commissioner were
instructed to locate another place for dumping
grounds..
The Street Commissioner Mr. Hart was instructed to
investigate for equipment to clean the roots from
the sewers, also to repair the Street at llth and
South A Street.
After allowing claims to the amount of '10,471. 65
they adjourned.
