CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
FRIDAY,FEBRUARY 16,1940
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City
of Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of said Board
Friday, February 16th, 1940 at 9 :00 o 'clock A. M.
Messrs. John R. Britten, Simeon W. Hodgin and Henry U.
I/ Johnson being present the following proceedings were
had to-wit;
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and
approved.
A request to extend an°. industrial. curb ftt, by the
Wickett Motor Service Co. located at 12th. and Main
Streets was taken under advisement.
A request for a light to be installed on South West
A Street between 8th. & 9th. Streets also a light oh
South West 14th. Street between National Road and Main
Streets were taken under advisement.
A survey of the newer sections of the City in regard
to the installation of lights was ordered by the ,Board
and the same referred to City Rngineer Hodgin.
`Fire Chief Hirikt Williams reported a Canay Co. had
requested permission to install candy machines in the
various Fire Department Buildings of the City, this
was rejected by the Board and the machines already in-
stalled are to be removed.
Traffic and Parking regulations on the Streets:, here
State Roads go through the City were discussed and a
meeting of both City and State Traffic .officials are to
be held at a later date.
After allowing claims to the amount of $3, 656.71
they adjourned.
