Friday,December 15th, 1939, at _9:00 o' clock A. M. Messrs: John R. Britten, .Simeon W. Hodgin and Henry U. Johnson being present the following proceedings were had to-wit ; - The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and approved. Arrangements are to be made for the Street Dept- ment to remove the ashes and clinkers out of the basement at the City Building. A request ws made by Walter Test for the use of the drive-way to the Disposal Plant,stating he ownod ground across the T1hitevtiater. River from the Plant which he wished to sell providing he could, have. ;. access to the drive by fording the River. the Board rejected the request. A =request for a light to be installed on South C Street between 5 and 6 Streets was taken under ad- visement and referred to the City Engineer Hodgin Chief of Police Ellis Duckett reported cars were being parked on the sidewalk on South B Street .near the A and P. Market suggesting yellow lines be painted designating the sidewalk, there- being industrial curbs at this location, Street Commissioner Burkhardt was ordered to place no parking signer from 9th Street west to the alley, the property owners were given permission to paint a yellow line designating the curb and a No Parking sign was to be placed on B Street near the intersection of 8th Street. The Board ordered a Resolution be prepared and presented to the Common Council at their next reg- ular meeting requesting the: Judge of the ;Payne Cou- nty Circuit Court to appoint three disinterested freeholders of the City of Richmond,Igidiana, to app= 11/ raise one 1938 Plymouth:'Coahh and one 193S':De so t-o- Tour- ing Car used by the Police Department ,with a view of selling the same. Mr. Eadler Bilding Inspector reported the furnace at the City Building needed attention during the later part of the night, this being taken under ad- visement.
