OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 3RD,1939 .
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City
of Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of said Board
Friday, November 3rd, 1939, at 9 :00 o!clock1• A.M. Messrs.
John R. Britten, Simeon W. Hodgin and Henry U.Johnson
being present the following proceedings were had to-wit ;
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were read and
approved.
The floor on the stage in rlenn Miller Park is to
be repaired , to avoid any accident that might happen. <
Mr. William E. Smith appeared before: the Board to
make objections to the charges of <$56.00 made for the
services of the City Fire Department October 22nd 1979 .
Mayor Britten stated, a set price for fire runs out
side the City 'limits had been approved by the Board
therefore no adjustments could be made. The building
destroyed by :fire located about one mile and a half
north west of the city and the reported shortage of
water made it impossible to save the building, but
the Firemen were able to help salvage material out
of other buildings.
A petition to cut the curb to a width of 9 feet
was granted to William Salzarulo at 143 paecock
Terrace 2nd addition on the North Side of North-
west 10th Street.
Mr_. Don Bell of the Insurance Committee presented -
an agreement to pay$300.00 for making repairs to the
City Building.
After allowing claims to the amount of $5,255.05
they adjourned. .
