OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 13TH`a 1939
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City
of Richmond, Indiana , met in the office of the said
Board, Friday October 13th,1939 , at 9 :00 o' clock
A. M. Messrs. John R. Britten, Simeon W. Hodgin and
Henry U. Johnson being present hte following procee-
dings were nad to-wit ;
The minutes of the preceeding meeting was approved
as read.
Permission was granted to T. Ryan Jenkins to con-
struct a factory curb along the entire length of It
No. 44 C. W. Starr' s 8th Addition on the Northeast
corner of South B and 8th Streets.
A letter from the State Board of Tax Commissioners
was presented, stating a hearing woul- be held in the
County Auditors Office, Thursday, November 2nd,1939,.a ;
in> tegards to an appropriation of $5,000.00 from the
General Fund of the City of Richmond, to the Rental of
Equipment Fund of said City, also a hearing on the pro-
posed Budget of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
City Engineer Hodgin reported, the6T.P. A) allot-
memt had been approvedfor the Sanitary Sewer between
South 7th and 8th streets from L. to N. Streets.
A letter was presented from the South Side Improve-
ment Association on the matter of improving South G.
Street east of 5th street , this being referred to the
City Engineer.
City Engineer Hodgin presented a plan for en under-
pass for pedestrians at Southwest Second and #ational
Road.
After allowing claims to the amount of $10,327 .0 0
they adjourned.
