OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
FRIDAY, OCTOBERT.6TH.,1939
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City
of Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of the said
Board Friday, October 6th, 1939, . at 9 :00 o' clock
A.M. Messrs. John R. Britten Simeon W. Hodgin and
Henry U! Johnson being present the following proceed-
ings were had to-wit ;
The minutes of the preceeding meeting was approved as read in Council.
A petition to cut the curb to a width of 30 feet
was granted to the Standard Oil Co. at the North East
Corner of 19th and Main Street.
Mr. Herb Brekamp representing the Fairview Athletic
Club was granted permission to use the Municipal Base
Ball Park for Foot Ball, the City to receive 15 percent
of the gate receipts with a guaranteed price of $10.00
per. game, the diamond not to be use; at:.all.,or the rest
of the field when to wet.
A letter was presented from the State Board of Tax
Commissioners stating a hearing would be held at the Co-
unty Auditor' s Office October 14th,1939, in regards to
appropriating the sum of $5,000.00 out of the General
Fund to the Rental of Equipment Fund of the City of
Richmond, Indiana. .

A Summons was . presented,served by the Wayne County
Circuit Court on the City of Richmond ,Indiana, on com-
plaint of the Saneo Products Corp.
Attention was called to traffic conditions at West
first and Main Street.
City Attorney Tohnson reported the dismissal of act-
ion of apeal in the Wayne County Circuit Court on bene-
fits and damages in matter of Alfred Birk versus the
City of Richmond,Indiana.
After allowing claims to the amount of $15,283.26
they adjourned. .
