OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS
CITY OF RICHMOND,INDIANA,
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 15TH,1939.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City
of Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of the said
Board Friday, Sertnmber 15th, 1939, at 9 :00 o' clock
A. M. Messrs Simedn W. Hodgin and Henry U. Johnson
being present the following proceedings were had to-
wit.
The minutes of the preceeding meeting was read and
approved.
A petition to cut the curb at the McConaha Garage
on South 4th Street in two places , to the total _smo-
unt 'of=:22feet was granted to Raymond Bobbs represen-
ting the Kroger Grocer and Baking Co.
A Resolution No. 16-1939 wasdread and adopted in
regard to making some minor changes in the contract
with the Henke Construction Company1 Contractor on
the Auditorium -Gymnasium, to the amount of $243.60.
A Resolution No. 17-1939 was read and approved
changing the contract with the Henke Construction
Company covering work on the Auditorium-Gymnasium
in lieu of the use of one'. coat of sealer and one
coat of .wax on the Main Floor of the Building,as
per contract, that the contract be changed to pr-
vide for:the use of two coats of sealer1 at no ch-
ange in the price.
A reouest was made for a Stop Sign, at Southwest .
7th, and A streets, the Board taking same under
advisement.
A report from the Richmond Water Works. Corporation
stated that a bin. water line had been installec or..':
;Oakland, Street:,tlius including two Fire Hydrants ,one at
the co.rner`fOakland\and South P Street, the other at
South Q, gtreet, the total length of pipe exclusive
of Fire Hydrants being 1136 ft.from 0 to Q Streets.
City Engineer Hodgin recommended the ceiling at
No. 5 Hose House be insulated. a an—est: m =te-coati

A•;deed for-'a portion cif ground `a's described in
Declaratory::Resolution No '278-1939 was approved and
accepted from the Pittsburg,eincinnati,Chicago and
St.Louis Rail Road Company, for the consideration
of $150,00.
Claims being allowed for $7588.80 ey d urned.
