FRIDAY,S PTEMBER 1ST, 1939 .
The Board of Public Yorks and Safety of the City of Richmond ,
Indiana, met in the office of said Roard,Friday, September 1st ,
1939 at 9 :00 o ' clock A.1% Yessrs .John R. Britten Simeon W. Ho-
dgin and Henry U. Johnson being present the following proceed-
ifigs were had to-wit ;
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read.
Wr. James Alyea. superintendent of the City Bus I_:ines presen-
ted to the Board a proposed temporary change in the routing of
the different bus lines in order to accomodate the school chi-
ldren as passengers to the New High School Building, which was
approved unanimous.
A proposal to extend a water mein from South 9th and K. St- 1
reets west to the first alley a:hd install a fire hydrant was
taken under advisement and refered to the Fire Chief for fur-e• J
ther recommendation. /
Fire Chief Harry Williams was ordered to attend the State
Fire Chief' s Convention to be held at Terre Haute , Indiana ,on
the 6th, 7th and 8th of September. .
The Building Inspector was ordered to have all the signes
setting between the Building Lines and the curbs removed.
Permission was granted to the Adam H. Bartel Co . et 8th and
South B.Street to cut the curb , also to Carl Hawkins to cut the
curb at Lot No . 142 Peacock Terrace.
After allowing claims to the amount of. 4 , 612. 03 they
adjourned.
