FRIDAY, AU(UST 18TH,1939 .
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, met in the office of said Board , Friday, August 18th,
1939 at 9 :00 o ' clock A.M. Messrs. John R. Britten Simeon T.T. Ho-
dgin and Henry U. Johnson being present the following proceedi
ngs were had to-wit;
The minutes of the preoe.eding meeting were approved.
Mr. Thomas 73ranson representing the North Tenth Street,_Fri-
ends Church was present requesting permission to have a Su-
nday School Picnic in West Seventh Street Park Saturday August
19th 1939 , the Board recommended that they use Ellerin Miller
Park there being no tables or other equipment in Seventh Street
park for such ocassion.
Attention was called to the Board that Mr. Walter Test had
offered to pay 550.00 on account, for services of the Fire De-
Partment rendered at his residence on...Test Road South of the City,
the total amount being $75.00.
City Engineer Hodgin presented plans for the repairing to be
done at No . 5 Hose House.
After allowing claims to' the amount of $12 ,499 .47 they
adjourned.
