OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS AND SAFETY
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, -
FRIDAY, AUGUST 4TH 1939 ..
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,.
Indiana, met in the office of said Board, Friday,, August 4th,
1939 at 9 :00 o' clock A.M. Messrs. John R. Britten :Simeon W. Ho-
- dgin and Henry U. Johnson being present the following proceedings
were had to-wit ;
The minutes of the proceeding meeting was read and approved.
A request for a light by Councilman Frank Wilkins to be inst-
alled at Sheridan and Rail Road Street was taken under advise-
ment by the Board.
A. check on the stoker at the City Building was authorized by
the Board, a report to be made at a later date.
August the fourth being the date designated by the Board for
hearing of any remonstrances on the opening and extending of
an alley between southwest 17th Street and East Haven Avenue,
there being several citizens present, and after an explanation
by the Board as to the recuirements in which the alley could
be c onstructed it was decided by most of those present .to dis-
continue the project ,and (DO a .motion by Johnson second by Hodgin
that Declaratory Resolution No. 277-1939 be resinded Was approv-
ed unanimous. '
After allowing claims to the amount of $35,247 . 56 they adj-
ourned.
