CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
FRIDAY, WAY 5th,1939 .
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, met in the office of said Board, Friday, May 5th, 1939
at 9 :00 o' clock A.M. Messrs John R. Britten, Simeon W. Hodgin
and Henry U. Johnson II being present the following proceedings
were had to-wit :
11/ The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read.
Mr. Glenn Whitsell appeared before the Board in the interest
of the Standerd Oil Company asking for a permit to widen the
curb for a drive-way for a Filling Station located at Liberty
pike and south I street, after viewing the location, and making
alterations in the plans it was approved.
A request for cement slabs to be placed in Clear Creek Park
for a horse shoe court, and furnish electric current for same
was approved.
On a motion by Hodgin second by Johnson, that City Fireman Bea-
trice Kelley remain suspended until May 15th, 1939 , was approv-
ed.
Some discussion was had in regards to vacations for City empl-
oyes.
Street Commissioner Burkhardt was instructed to purchase three
bases to be used in the Ball Park also one rubber pitchers pl-
ate.
After allowing bills to the amount of $23, 184.60 They adjourned.
