APPROVING CHANGE ORDER #4 NOE STREET DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT WHEREAS, the Go%ernini Bod% of the Borough of Carteret has pre%iousl% awarded a contract to Lucas Construction Group. Inc.. in the amount of $7.7-47.747.00 for the Noe Street Drainage Improiemcnts Project: and WHEREAS. the Borough's Consulting E:nsineer for the project. TRM Associates. has ad%ised the Governing Bod% that a modification to the contract is reasonable and necessary and has recommended that the aforesaid contract be modified in accordance with Change Order #4. attached hereto: and WHEREAS, Change Order #4 includes a change in the description of work to complete project construction and reflects as -built quantities: and i WHEREAS. Change Order #4 provides for a net increase in the contract price in the amount of $1.193,175.00. resulting in a revised contract price of $9.289.550 .28. including all change orders to date: and WHEREAS. the Borough's Consulting Engineer. TKM Associates. has adiised that the abo described changes and /or modifications to the project were unforeseen at the time of the award of the original contract. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Borough Council of the Borough of Carteret. County of Middlesex. State of New Jersey as follows: I. That Change Order #4, attached hereto and made a part hereof, providing for a net increase of $1.193.175.00 in the o%eraII contract price, resuftim_ in a re%ised total contract price of $9,289.550.28 including any modifications to the original contract price in accordance with any and all preciously appro%ed change orders, is hereby appro%ed. 2. That the appropriate Borough officials are hereby authorized and directed to execute Change Order #4 (See Attached). 3. That a copy of this Resolution and a fully executed copy of Change Order #4 be for%%arded to the Borough's Purchasing Department and to TRM Associates for distribution to Lucas Construction Group.
