OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS .AND SAFETY
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
FRIDAY,4PRIL 21st , 1939 .
The Board of Pubic Works and safety of the City. of Richmond,
Indiana,met in the office of said Board; '.Friar,April 21st1939
at 9 :00 o ' clock A. M. Messrs. John R. Britten, Simeon W. Hodgin
and Henry U. Johnson II being present the following proceedings
were had to-wit ;
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read.
Messrs. Joseph Koch Jim Farmer and others representing the
Juniour Chamber of Commerce, requested permission for the use
of Roosevelt Hill in Glenn Miller Park,May 19th, this being
approved.
Dick Gimble was to be notified so that this date would not con-
flict. with any other activities in the Park.
The contract with Bob Endsley was approved and signed for the
selling of refreshments in Glenn Miller Park and tiler Creek 1
Park for:. the remainder of the year 197 , for the sum of $ ' 200. 00,
payable in advance in four equal monthly payments of $56.00 each.
Th contract with Raleigh A. Miller was approved and signed as
Dog Catcher for the sum of j 100. 00 per month and his oil and
gsoline fora period of three months.
Glenn C. Ridenour was granted permission to widen the curb at
the Filling Station at North 5th and Fort Wayne Avenue .
On a motion by Johnson second by Hodgin the Board authorized
the Street Department to purchase a Converto Dump Body from
Lewis S.Bowman representing the estate of the late Frank Teetor
for the sum of $75. 00.
Mr Emmett Eadler was instructed to make some repairs at No.2
Hose House at an estimate -cOst of$l5'.00.
After allowing bills to the amount o f 846.,54 .tilLey adjourned.
