ORDINANCE NO.33-2022
AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE FIXING THE ANNUAL COMPENSATION
OF ALL ELECTED CITY OFFICERS FOR 2023
WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-4-7-2 requires Common Council of the City of Richmond,Indiana to
fix the annual compensation of all elected city officers by ordinance on or before
December 31;and
WHEREAS, Salaries cannot be changed in the year for which they are fixed;and
WHEREAS, Salaries cannot be lowered beyond the amount set in the previous year.
NOW,THEREFORE,be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,Indiana,
that the City's elected officials be compensated in the following sums for the calendar year 2023,to wit:
2023 Annual
Salary
Mayor 83,097.13
Clerk 55,839.44
President of Common Council 7,344.74
Chairman of RP&L 7,654.35
Members of Common Council(8) 6,995.95
Members of RP&L Board(8) 7,354.35
ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION
In addition to the above mentioned salary,the Chair of the Board aslo shalt receive an annual lump sum
stipend in the amount of$300.00.
In addition to the salaries set forth above,the Mayor and Clerk,as full-time city employees,shall also be entitled
to the same fringe benefits as other full-time city employees as set forth wihin the City of Richmond Personnel Policy Manual.
