HomeMy Public PortalAbout09-29-2022 THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND,INDIANA, SEPTEMBER 29,2022 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M.,in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street, Richmond, Indiana. CALL TO ORDER President Robinson called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Board members present were: Vicki Robinson, Emily Palmer and Matt Evans. Also in attendance were Kim Vessels,Assistant City Attorney; Monica Burns, Deputy City Clerk; Deputy Fire Chief Andy Buckler; Ian Vanness, Director of Infrastructure and Development; and Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Ms. Palmer moved to approve the minutes of September 22, 2022, supported by Mr. Evans.Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Evans moved to approve the Claims for Payment for September 30, 2022 in the amount of Two Hundred Seventy Two Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty Four Dollars and twenty nine cents ($272,754.29), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT -None PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT FOR PENSION Mr. Evans moved to approve the Payroll Claims for Payment for Pension for September 30,2022 in the amount of Two Hundred Sixty Five Thousand Six Hundred Seventy Six Dollars and eighty seven cents ($265,676.87), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. REQUESTS—None BID OPENINGS -None BID AWARDS -None CONTRACTS Board of Works Minutes September 30,2022 • CONTRACT NO. 148-2022—PREMIER MAINTENANCE SOLUTIONS LLC City retains Contractor to provide professional and consulting services which shall include, but not limited to, the installation and connection of existing wifi signals to the generators located at Fire Stations No. 2, 3, 4, and 5, in addition to comprehensive annual warranty inspections, programing units for dealer monitoring, Mobilelink fleet annual monitoring subscription, and twenty-four/seven dealer monitoring services for the same, which services are described in the proposal. Not to exceed$1,319.96 Ms.Palmer moved to approve, supported by Mr.Evans.Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. • CONTRACT NO. 150-2022 —ENTERPRISE PLUMBING, INC City retains Contractor to provide professional consulting, testing, and reporting services for the backflow prevention device located at the Izzy David Edelman Police and Fire Training and Physical Fitness Center. Services shall also include test date logging on the device and forwarding test results to both Indiana American Water and the Fire Department. Not to exceed$248.99 Mr.Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms.Palmer.Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. CONTRACT NO. 153-2022 —CULY CONTRACTING, LLC City retains Contractor to perform services in connection with the demolition of a portion of the structure located at 521 North "D" Street. The services will include demolition, removal of debris, and restoration of the site. Not to exceed $73,506.10 Ms.Palmer moved to approve, supported by Mr.Evans. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. CHANGE ORDERS -None ADDENDUMS • ADDENDUM NO. 1 TO CONTRACT NO. 20-2022—AMERICAN TEST CENTER City wishes to retain Contractor to continue to provide services in connection with on-site testing and inspection services for Aerial and Fire Ground Ladders and other related equipment for the Fire Department for 2023. • Board of Works Minutes September 30,2022 Ms.Palmer moved to approve, supported by Mr. Evans.
