RE: Ordinance 47-2022—Amending Chapter 52 (Electric Utility) of Richmond Code
The Richmond Power&Light Board of Directors passed Resolution 3-2022 on October 3, 2022.
The resolution establishes guidelines for future cost of service studies if the voters of Richmond
vote to opt out of the jurisdiction of the IURC in 2022.
Ordinance 47-2022 adds section 52.11 to Chapter 52 (Electric Utility) which would codify these
parameters if the vote is successful in 2022. The language in the ordinance is consistent with the
language in RP&L Resolution 3-2022.
