RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
CONTRACT WITH ROBERT 3. BERGEN, ESQ.
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specialized legal
services in connection with the matter of Wanskus v. The Borough of
Carteret, Docket No. L-950-99; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Attorney, Robert 3. Bergen, Esq., possesses the
requisite experience and expertise to provide said legal services; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are
available for the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New 3ersey as follows:
1. Robert 3. Bergen, Esq. of the law firm Gill & Chamas,
LLC is hereby retained as special counsel in the above
referenced legal matter at an hourly rate of $125 per hour,
not to exceed a maximum cost of $15, 000.00.
2. This award is made as a professional services contract
pursuant to N.J.S.A 40A:ll-5(1)(a) and a notice of this
award shall be advertised as required by law.
