Audit Committee Meeting
Draft Minutes
June 29, 2011
The meeting was held in the old school room 6 at 4:00 pm on the above date.
Present were:
Committee members: Alfie Waite, Chairman and Dick Smith and Bill Blakey.
Reznick Group auditors: Eddie Lusk, Partner and Hobart Wong and Jayson Curran, Staff.
Council Liaison: Bill Garbett.
City Finance Department: Mary Hogan, Finance Director and Claire Price, Melissa
Freeman, Nalene Conway and Stephanie Hogan, Staff.
The meeting was called to order by Alfie Waite
Approval of the minutes of the March meeting was deferred until the next meeting as
there was not a majority of the committee present.
New Staff from Reznick on this year’s audit were introduced.
Timing was discussed with audit fieldwork to commence early August and a target for
the final report by the end of September.
The city’s inventory of fixed assets, status of the Firefly water meter reading system, city
revenues, the Campground, the Tybee Post loan, loans from the geothermal project and
the use of purchasing cards were reviewed.
A motion was made, seconded and approved to adjourn the meeting.
