HomeMy Public PortalAboutCouncil on Aging Board -- 2021-12-16 Minutes _ _ s e ` P Minutes of Brewster Council on Aging Advisory Board Meeting Zoom Meeting December 16, 2021 Present : Denise Rego , Director, Co -chairs Andrea Nevins and Sharon Tennstedt, Lisa Donovan ( COA Programs Coordinator ) , Penny Holeman , Steve Holmes, Jay Greene, Janet Stolzer, Honey Pivirotto ( Fin Com Liaison ) , Cindy Bingham ( SB Liaison ) Absent : Laura Usher Meeting called to order and Governors' Orders read by Sharon Tennstedt at 1 : 00 pm Minutes of November 18, 2021 were unanimously approved . Documents and exhibits : Minutes of October 21 , 2021 , Meeting Agenda , Directors' Report, Action Plan Implementation FY22 , Sea Camp Map DIRECTORS' REPORT : See Report As of Monday, December 20, 2021, masks will be required to be worn in the COA building due to the increase in the new variant . COA new web site information has been sent to Conor Kenny . Tax preparation scheduled appointments, to be held at Town Hall , will begin in February 2022 . Cape Cod Sea Camp Tours : Tours went well on Saturday and more public tours and outreach will begin in the spring . There will be two planning committees, one for the Bay property and one for the Long Pond property . The COA will have a Liaison to the Bay Property Planning Committee which will also have 6 at- large members . Program Reports : Action Plan FY22 ( See Action Plan Implementation ) December in person Loss, Change and Grief will be rescheduled New Yoga instruction will be held on Tuesdays in January Lisa has found someone to give Italian speaking classes for beginners Lisa will have a judge to discuss probate and will in March The generators for Fredericks and Wells Court will require more investigation because CPC Grants are not available for this use . Denise will meet with the Wells Court Board to discuss and then report back to us next month . Grant Opportunities : No further information at this time . Committee Reports : Recreation Committee — Steve reported that two tennis courts have been striped for Pickle Ball use . The scope of work and yearly maintenance plan has been put together for Freemans Way Fields . ADA pathways are prepared for paving . Bright Lights program is scheduled for Saturday the 18th Vision Planning Committee - Sharon stated that the committee is set for public engagement starting in February . There will be an online survey, with paper copies available at the COA, Town Hall and BLL. Other outreach events are also being planned .
