OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
FRIDAY DECEB Eh 2, 1938.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City
of Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of the said
Board , Friday December 2, 1938, at 9 :00 o' clock A.M.
Messrs. Joseph M. Waltermann and Simeon Hodgin being
present the following Droceedings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were
approved as read.
The Clerk was instructed to prepare an Appropriation
Ordinance for the amount of $15,000.00 for the purpose
of settlement of the Lewis Edward Deed accident case.
The Board agreed to pay for the electric current
used for the Christmas lighting in the business
section of the city.
A request for a traffic light at North 12th & E
street was received, however the Board was unable
to comply with this request since there were no
funds available for this purpose.
City Engineer Hodg;in presented plans for the
remodling of the City Building and asked the approval
of the Board to make application for a WPA Project
for this work. The Board granted this approval.
Claims to the amount of $5,070. 18 were allowed
after which the Board adjourned.
