HomeMy Public PortalAbout11-25-1938 OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS 481 CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, FRIDAY NOVEMBER 25, 1938. The Board of Public works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of the said Board, Friday November 25, 1938, at 9 :00 o' clock A.M. Messrs. Joseph M. Waltermann, Simeon Hodgin and William Kelley, Jr. , being prsent the following proceedings were had, to-wit : The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read in Council. Permission to cut the curb a distance of 8' at 819 South C Street was granted John Niehwoehner. The Board ordered a 6" water main installed on SW F Street from the Abington Pike to West 1st Street and a fire hydrant at SW 1st and F Streets. Mr. Hodgin read a letter from the State Highway Commission recommending some changes in traffic lights and additional space for bus stops, these changes were approved and ordered made. The Board ordered a street light installed on North B Street between llth & 12th Streets also one on North 18th Street between North E and the Pennsylvania Railroad. The Board ordered a stop sign placed at South 10th & A Streets. The settlement of the accident case of Lewis Edgar Reed in Glen Miller Park was approved and signed by the Board, but cannot be presented to the Council until a court order has been issued in regards to the same.
