CITY OF RICHMOND, INnDIANA,
FRIDAY OCTOBER 21, 1938.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of the said Board
Friday October 21, 1938, at 9 :00 o' clock A.M. Messrs.
Joseph M. .Waltermann, Simeon Hodgin and William Kelley,
Jr. , being present the following proceedings were had,
to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved
as read in Council.
Herbert Wuckridge was granted permission to use the
Municipal Ball Park for football games at the rental
price of 510. 00, said permission being_, granted with
the distinct understanding that games be played only
when Phe grounds were dry.
A petition was received requesting a change in the
bus routes on Richmond Avenue, this petition was
referred to Tames Alyea of the Indiana Railroad for
investigation.
The purchase of a sand spreader by the Street
Department was authorized.
City Engineer Hodgin was authorized to get bids on
a new boiler for No. 5 Hose House.
Fire Chief Harry Williams recommended that General
Tires be purchased for the fire truck at $127.00 and
U. S. Royal tires for the coupe at $71,36. The Board
approved the recommendation.
The Board approved the settlement of the accident
case of Mrs. Mary Clark of 125 NW H Street , and author-
ized the City Controller to settle the same for the
sum of $150.00.
The Board ordered an arc light installed on SW 10th
street.
Claims to to the amount of $18,858.86 were allowed
