CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
FRIDAY OCTOBER 14, 1938.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of
Richmond, Indiana , met in the office of the said Board ,
Friday October 14, 1938, at 9 :00 o ' clock A.M. Messrs.
Joseph Waltermann, Simeon Hodgin and Nilliam Kelley,
Jr. , being present the following proceedings were had,
to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as
read.
City Engineer Hodgin recommended that the owners of the
lots just west of West 7th Street Park, be allowed to fill
in the said lots. The Board approved this recommendation.
Mr. Howard Dill of the Water Works Corporation was
before the Board relative to the replacing of the old
galvanized services on Main Street and stated that there
wer 45 of these that should be replaced before Main Street
was resurfaced. The Board approved this work.
The following bids were received for tires for the Fire
Department :
Point Service Station, Dayton Thorobred Tires.
2 - 36x8 12 ply Dayton Thorobred Tires and Tubes for the
sum of l60.00 and the old tires.
4 - 625x16 Dayton Thorobred 4 ply tires and tubes for the
sum of 461.00 and the old tires, or the Daytonian Toe Action
Tire and Tubes for the sum of $86.00 and the old tires,
the tubes for the 625x16 tires are to be pinch proof.
The above prices are subject to 2% Nov. 10th.

All these bids were referred to the City Engineer and
the Fire Chief for tabulation and recommendation.
This being the date for the hearing of remonstrances on
Declaratory Resolution No. 273-1938, and none being present,
the Board gave final approval of the same.
Claims to the amount of $3,099.03 were allowed after which
the Board adjourned.
