DRIFTWAY SIDEWALK PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Borough is authorized to make purchases through cooperative and state
contracts pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:I I -10 and -12; and
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret has a need to install a sidewalk on Industrial
Highway utilizing the MRESC 15/16 83PV3 Co- Op agreement; and
WHEREAS, the purchasing agent has determined and certified in writing that the value
of the acquisition will exceed $17,500; and
WHEREAS, the anticipated term of this contract is until the project is complete; and
WHEREAS, Murray Paving and Concrete has submitted a proposal on 8/8/2017
indicating they will provide the installation of a sidewalk Industrial Highway for
$76,708.19 through Co -op award 65MCESCCPS; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
for said purpose; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret authorizes the Chief Financial Officer to enter into a contract and issue a
purchase order with Murray Paving and Concrete as described herein through the
MRESC pricing system; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of
the Borough of Carteret. County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. A copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's
Director of Engineering and Purchasing Department.

original on September 8, 2017.
