OFFICE OF THE BOARD OF WORKS
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
FRIDAY AUGUST 19 , 1938.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of
I/ Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of the said Board,
Friday August 19 , 1938, at 9 :00 o' clock A.M. Messrs.
Joseph M. Waltermann, Simeon Hodcin and William Kelley,
Jr. , being present the following proceedings were had,
to-wit :
The minutes of the nreceeding meeting were an_ proved
as read.
The Board confirmed the final adoption of Declaratory
Resolution No. 272-1938, for the vacation of Southwest
D-E and F Streets.
James Alyea of the Indiana Railroad was before the
Board relative to the abandonment of the loop part of
the Hospital route, and also informed the Board that
unless the patronage increased on the Reeveston route
east pf 16th Street , that they would have to abandon
this part too .
Yr. Hodgin reported that W. E. Berry and Tom Williams
had made an estimate of the damages done to the farm of
Harry E. Hunt and had estimated the same at 55.00, Yr.
Hodgin recommended that this claim be allowed and the Board
adopted this recommendation.
Claims to the amount of 6,489. 66 were allowed after h
which the Board adjourned.
