CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
FRIDAY JULY 1, 1938.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of the said Board,
Friday July 1, 1938, at 9 :00 o' clock A.M. Messrs. Joseph
I/
Y. Waltermann, Simeon Hodgin and William Kelley, Jr. ,
being present the following proceedings were had, to-wit
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved
as read.
A request for Yellow curb at 14 South 5th Street was
refered to the State Highway Department.
Z. Jay Stanley, Attorney for the Federal Housing
Authority was before the Board with a proposed contract
between the City of Richmond and the Federal Housing
Authority, which it was planned to present to the Common
Council on Tuesday July 5, 1938.
Captian Kendall of the Police Department was before
the Board and stated that a new motor had been placed
in car 16, and the cost of the motor was $55.00 with
a labor charge of $, 12.00, and wanted the permission of
the Board to pay the cost of the new motor out of New
Motors Appropriation. The Board feeling that this was
in order, approved this ay of making the charge.
A request for yellow curb at 19 South 6th was refused,
but the placing of signs reading "3 Minute Parking For
Patrons Only" was authorized.
Mr. Hodgin presented a project from Mr. Went of the
WPA for a dog pound, this project was held over for future
study.
Claims to the amount of $11,349.91 were allowed after
which the Board adjourned.
