The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of the said Board, Friday June 24, 1938, at 9 :00 o' clock A.M. Messrs. Joseph M. Waltermann, Simeon Hodgin and William Kelley, Jr. being present, the following proceedings were had, to-wit : I/ The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read in Council. Permission to cut the curb a distance of 8' was granted Luther N. Koehing on NW 10th Street. One of the Trustees of the First Christian Church was before the Board with a request for, a light in the rear of the Church. The Board agreed to visit this location and determine if a light was needed. E meeting between the City Officials and the School Board was scheduled for Monday June 27, at 7 :30 o' clock • P.M. at the School Board Office. The Clerk called the attention of the Board to the fact that the Garbage Contract expired this year, and that it would be impossible to estimate the cost for the following year, without advertising for new bids on this contract. The Board then authorized the Clerk to advertise for bids. Chief of Police Vogelsong asked for permission to purchase equipment for one more two way radio set. The Board granted this permission. Some discussion was had as the proposed contract between the City and the Federal Housing Authority, and it was decided to have a meeting with this Board some time during the next week.
