CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
FRIDAY MAY 20, 1938.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of the said Board,
Friday May 20, 1938, at 9 :00 o' clock A. M. Messrs. Joseph
I/
M. Waltermann, Simeon Hodgin and William Kelley, Jr. ,
being present the following proceedings were had, to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved
as read in Council.
Permission to cut the curb a distance of 10 feet at
455 South 5th Street was granted A. C. Schwendeman.
James Louck was authorized to proceed with the paint-
ing of the Radio Tower.
The date for the Goat Derby at the Ball Park was
changed to May 27 , 1938.
Mr. Burkhardt was authorized to investigate the
purchasing of a power wench to be used in the removal
of the old poles on the street car lines.
James ,;;uigley made an offer of $150.00 per year for
the Olen Miller Park concession. The Board discussed
what action to take as to the former lessee, Mr. Earl
Moore, and decided that Mr. Moore should be given until
Saturday May 21, 1938, to make payment of the delinquent
rent, and in the event that this was not done, the City
was to remove his equipment and turn the concession over
to James Quigley.
Claims to the amount of d�8'914.42 were allowed after
which the Board adjourned.
