CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA,
FRIDAY MAY 13, 19 38.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of the said Board,
I/ Friday May 13, 1938, at 9 :00 o ' clock A.N. Messrs. Joseph
A.I. Waltermann, Simeon Hodgin and William Kelley, Jr. ,
being present the following proceedings were had to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved
as read.
Permission to cut the curb a distance of 10' at 221
South 12th Street was granted Arthur McGrew.
Mr. Hodgin made a report on the concession at glen Miller
Park, but no definate action was taken on this question.
The question of installing a telephone at -the Ball Park
was discussed and since there were no funds available for
this purpose, the installation of a phone was left to
Harry Patti, lessee of the park for the 1938 season.
The Board approved Ruling No . 4-1938 of the Building
Inspector approving the use of Johns-Manville Weathertite
Sheathing.
City Controller George Coons asked permission of the
Board to cash checks from the insurance companies and
pay claims against the sewage Disposal Plant caused by
fire damage. The Board granted this authority.
Claims to the amount of $5, 316. 54 were allowed after
which the Board adjourned.
