Audit Committee Meeting
Minutes
August 21, 2013
The meeting was held in the City Hall auditorium starting at 5:05 pm.
Present were:
Committee members: Chairman Dick Smith, Frank Kelly, John Branigin, Nancy
Frankenhauser, Rob Callahan and Bill Blakey. City Council Audit Liaison: Tom Grover.
City Finance Director: Angela Hudson. City Manager: Diane Schleicher.
March 13, 2013 and August 12, 2013 minutes were approved.
Baird audit partner Butch Widdon will address the City Council about the audit on
Thursday August 22nd.
Angela spoke about internal control measures she is working on in three different areas.
Steve Garber will be providing assistance in drafting the 2013 Tybee financials
There was a discussion of the status of the 2012 audit fee. Diane indicated that the final
amount we would pay Baird was still unresolved
There was a short discussion of steps to speed up the report prep and review process as
well as dealing with the state if they have comments.
The meeting was adjourned.
