HomeMy Public PortalAbout02-04-1938 415 OFFICE 07 THE BOARD OF WORKS CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, FRIDAY FEBRUARY 4, 1938. The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of the said Board Friday February 4, 1938, at 9 :00 o' clock A.M. Messrs. Joseph M. Waltermann, Simeon Hodgin and William Kelley, Jr. being present, the following proceedings were had, to-wit : The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved as read . A petition for a street light at South 5th and 0 Streets was referred to the City Engineer and Earl Beck of the Light Plant for investigation. A petition for a Storm Sewer on South 4th from N to Q was received and referred to the Engineering Department for investigation. A request was made for the repair of the first alley north of the National Road between 9th & 10th Streets. This request was referred to the street Department. The Board approved Ruling No . 2-1938 of the Building Inspector as regards the use of Masonite. The City Controller reported that he had received bids on the printing of the bonds for the East & Southeast Sewer as follows : T. V. Coe Printing Company $61. 50 Nicholson Printing Co. 59. 50 Warfels could not bid the Controller reported that he awarded the contract to Nicholson Printing Co . the low bidder. The Clerk reported that he had mailed notices to Chenoweth Motor Co. , County Motors, Thomas Motors, E.H. Gilcrest, Goodwin Motor Sales, McCormick-Deering, W. E.McMains, Murray Nbtors and Richmond Motor Co. asking for bids on a new truck for the Street Department, said bids to be recived on the date of February 11, 1938. The Board authorized Councilman Snavely to represent the City in the presentation or the Civic Minstrels for this year.
