CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, _.
_FRIDAY JANUARY.21, 1938.
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of
Richmond, Indiana, met in the office of the said Board, I/
Friday January 21, 1938, at 9 :00 o'clock A.M. Messrs.
Joseph M. ;''altermann, Simeon Hodgin and William Kelley,
Tr. -being present the following proceedings were had,
to-wit :
The minutes of the preceeding meeting were approved
as read in the Council.
A street light was ordered installed on North 21st
Street at the first alley north of Glen Court .
City Engineer Hodgin reported that it would be necessary
to build a bridge across Whitewater River in order to
complete Whitewater Boulevard , and asked the permission
of the Board to attempt to purchase some of the steel
spans which were being removed from the viaduct east of
town and stated that if these could be purchased for
100.8o::.each that they would be agood buy for the City.
The Board granted this permission.
Claims to the amount of $8,180. 61 were allowed after
which the Board adjourned.
